Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with VIP meet & assist service included/or pick up from your NBO Hotel, you will be assisted to meet our representative for safari briefing and transfer you to Wilson Airport to board a flight to Samburu Airstrip. The transfer to the camp takes approximately one hour with a game drive enroute. Arrive in time for lunch. Saruni Samburu has six eco-chic villas that are open and spacious. All the villas herald spectacular game views over the Kalama Conservancy and Mount Kenya. Afternoon will be at leisure and later proceed for afternoon/evening game drive. You will then return to your lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Rise up early for a morning game drive within the park. You will be able to see a lot of flora and fauna in their natural habitat for example rhinos, grevys zebra, elephants and predators such as lions. Guests can also be taken on a guided bushwalk across the savannah in the company of an armed ranger and a local Samburu guide. Samburu is known for the ‘special five’ species that are specifically found in the Northern areas namely; Beisa Oryx, Generuk Antelope, Somali Ostrich, Grevy’s Zebra and the Reticulated giraffe. Both the ‘big five’ and ‘special five’ are found in Samburu. Most of these animals are active very early in the morning therefore it is the best time for game viewing. Drive back to the camp for breakfast. Lunch and afternoon at leisure. Head out for the evening game drive at 1600hrs then return back to the lodge by 1845hrs.

You will check out and be transferred to Samburu Airstrip. Here you will board a flight departing at 1100hrs to Ngerende Airstrip, Maasai Mara North Conservancy. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Saruni Mara Camp and have lunch at 0200hrs. Saruni Mara has one family villa, one private villa and five elegant cottages and is the only small boutique lodge in the Mara, making it very intimate and exclusive. The beautifully decorated themed rooms have a lavish and relaxation feel after safari. Mara North Conservancy is located inside the main Maasai Mara Reserve and has vast breath-taking plains with abundance of resident wildlife in the conservancy. The conservancy is also home to the Leopard Gorge; renowned for its significance in birthing and maternity ground for the big cat predators. Five prides of lions amounting to 56 family members, seven cheetah and at least six leopards have made the conservancy their homeland area. You can also witness the seasonal wilder beast migration from the conservancy. On this day you will enjoy your morning and afternoon full day game drives in the privately owned conservancy. The qualified local guides will take you on a search for Kenya’s big five; rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, elephants and lions. The conservancy also has an abundance of birdlife for the bird watchers with big predatory birds such as eagles and vultures also present. Photographers will also get spectacular shots of the conservancy and wildlife variety and diversity.

On this day, you will enjoy the entire day at the Mara North Conservancy and enjoy exclusive breath-taking wildlife views the exclusive conservancy has to offer. Guests also have the option of having a guided bushwalks across the savannah in the company of an armed ranger and a local Maasai guide.

Optional activities such as horseback safari, hot air balloon safari and a cultural visit to a Maasai village can be organised at an extra cost. Balloon safaris must be booked one day in advance. You can also return to the lodge in the afternoon and enjoy the lodge’s amenities.
